Cries for the past

CRIES FOR THE PAST

Rapid as a bullet this time glides,
Beneath the ocean bed its secret lies,
How cruel it is for those who do not strive,
Never will it confide in, though millions dive.

It’s been a journey so harsh and cold,
Though at last, it has made me bold,
How fierce time gets when you can’t go back,
And repent for the past squandered in slack.

He thinks now how mad it was to dream,
But none perceives how he hopes to redeem,
How palpable the cries get; but not heard,
when people solely call him utter absurd.

With other drunkards, he kept on the booze,
And erotic tantrums setting him on loose,
Caring for none, what a portrayal of a smug,
Lust his luxury, how well he depicted a thug.

But as time passed, he knew he’ll die,
Look at the prayers and the giddy feeble cry,
I pity him when he cries for the past,
Wish he had realized time travels very fast.
